Jimmy Lee Scholars

Established in 2015, The “Jimmy Lee Scholars Fund” is an endowment established in memory of longtime Inner-City Scholarship Fund trustee and supporter, James B. “Jimmy” Lee, Jr. Through the generosity of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Jimmy Lee’s family and friends, this fund provides scholarships for low-income, high-achieving students attending Catholic high schools within the Archdiocese of New York.

The need-based scholarships are awarded to students who meet the program’s criteria and have been vetted by the Fund’s committee of volunteers. To be eligible, students must participate in a school sponsored athletic or extracurricular program and demonstrate a cumulative grade point average of 85 percent or above. Beyond financial support, the Jimmy Lee Scholars attend career panels with leaders in business, healthcare, and more. Alumni have gone on to attend top colleges including Williams, UPenn, Columbia, and NYU—carrying Jimmy’s legacy forward with every step.
